A Lee County Woman was arrested after a trip to pick up her mail at the post office.
Angel Herndon of Nettleton was arrested last week after the Lee County Sheriff’s Department and North Mississippi Narcotics Agents received a tip that Herndon would be picking up a package at the Nettleton Post office. But, it was the marijuana in the parcel that got her into trouble.
Over 15 pounds of marijuana were found in the package and narcotics agents said it is valued at over $240,000.
Herndon is charged with possession of Marijuana with intent to distribute, and the charges will likely be enhanced due to the fact that the Nettleton Post Office is within 1,500 feet of a school.
