PHILADELPHIA, Miss.–Found dead in his cell at the Neshoba County lockup July 14, Rexdale Henry, a member of the Miss. Band of Choctaw Indians, was in for not paying old fines. Now the man who was in the cell with him has been charged in his death.
Justin Schlegel, 34, has been charged with murder, and the investigation by the MBI is not over.
Sheriff Tommy Waddell told TV station WTOK that the final results of an autopsy have not come in yet and that he would not say just what happened in the cell.
Henry, 53, was found dead about 10 that morning. Henry was a former candidate for tribal council.
