Navy Gold Star is the Navy’s official program for providing long-term support to surviving families of Sailors who pass while on Active Duty.
Navy Gold Star is an inclusive program – regardless of the fallen service members’ military branch, location, or manner of death. Our commitment is that regardless of the branch of service, we will provide support and help families locate branch survivor services.
Navy Gold Star support coordinators provide dedicated outreach and support when, and for as long as the family desires. Our coordinators are located all over the United States and are ready to help in any way they can.
Emily Kolenda is the Navy Gold Star Coordinator located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, one of thirteen worldwide. She joined Rebecca Turner on Good Things to share more about this helpful program.
