Following a round of bad weather in Lowndes County on Friday, the National Weather Service (NWS) confirmed Monday that two tornadoes touched down.
NWS officials said damage surveys showed an EF-1 tornado with winds peaking at 90 miles per hour hit northeast of Caledonia near Ott Road at 5:04 a.m. Three minutes later at 5:07 a.m., an EF-0 tornado with winds up to 80 miles per hour touched down near Woodlawn.

The storms damaged several outbuildings, roofs, and a carport while downing some trees.
Fortunately, no one was injured.
