GULFPORT, Miss.- A Bay St. Louis woman was arrested and accused of driving naked and intoxicated while she led deputies on a high-speed chase on Interstate 10 two weeks ago.
The Sun Herald reports, Stephanie Lynn Steele, 52, was put in jail on a $60,000 bond since her April 22 arrest. A judge reduced her bond Wednesday to $5,000.
Police say Steele was driving up to 120 mph, weaving in and out of traffic. Her car came to a stop when she ran over stop sticks blowing out a tire. Deputies walked up to her car and found Steele wearing no clothes. She told police she had been drinking.
The failure-to-stop charge is a felony. She also faces a misdemeanor DUI charge with a $1,000 bond.
A preliminary hearing is pending.
