STONEWALL, MISS– A ruling that clears an officer’s name of a choking death has the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People asking for a look into Johnathan Sanders’ death.
The group is asking the Department of Justice to look into Sanders’ death. He died after being choked during a struggle with an officer. Clark County Officer Kevin Herrington isn’t facing charges because the grand jury says he used the force necessary to take Sanders down, because he thought he was on drugs, reports WJTV.
