COLLEGE PARK, Ga.–It started with a fight between kids at an apartment complex near Atlanta. Ryan Bolden, of Madison, was there visiting family and tried to break it up when the parents got involved. He ended up shot and killed. Now College Park Police say they’ve arrested 26-year-old Stacie Williams.
The shooting happened Dec. 17 after the kids started fighting over candy.
College Park Police Maj. E.W. Strozier said this week that Williams was charged in the murder Jan. 1. He was already in jail after a domestic fight.
He did not discuss what evidence led to the charges, but there were likely witnesses. The shooting happened in the parking lot of the complex.
Bolden was a baseball standout at Madison Central and opted to go right to the pros. He played for the Los Angeles Angels between 2010 and 2013.
