JACKSON, Miss. –A Tornado Watch has been issued for several North and South Mississippi counties as lines of storms move across the state Sunday afternoon.
The National Weather Service Jackson office issued a warning for the following counties until 8 p.m.:
Adams; Amite; Bolivar; Claiborne; Copiah; Franklin; Hancock; Harrison; Hinds; Humphreys; Issaquena; Jackson; Jefferson; Jefferson Davis; Lamar; Lawrence; Lincoln; Madison; Marion; Pearl River; Pike; Rankin; Sharkey; Simpson; Sunflower; Walthall; Warren; Washington; Wilkinson; Yazoo
A tornado watch, issued by the National Weather Service Memphis office, is also in effect for the following counties until 10 p.m.:
Alcorn; Benton; Calhoun; Chickasaw; Coahoma; DeSoto; Itawamba; Lafayette; Lee; Marshall; Monroe; Panola; Pontotoc; Prentiss; Quitman; Tallahatchie; Tate; Tippah; Tishomingo; Tunica; Union; Yalobusha.
