Mississippi State’s defense is a statistical juggernaut through six games, with the Bulldogs among the nation’s best in most catergories. That isn’t important to Bulldog defensive coordinator Bob Shoop, and he is sure that LSU won’t pay it much mind either next weekend. Shoop went into detail as to what his group will be working on through the open date.
Shoop’s defense has been incredibly efficient this season, and has been equally disruptive. If Mississippi State can continue to improve from a consistency standpoint, the Bulldogs are going to be a tough team to cross the goal line against. For a group that entered the season with high expectations, so far Shoop’s defense has exceeded what most analysts thought would be the standard. It will interesting to see if there’s another level the Bulldogs can reach.
