Mississippi State’s 2018 season has not gone according to script, and most surprisingly, its been the Bulldog offense that has struggled, as MSU is only averaging 11 points per game in SEC play. With the talent that returned from last year’s squad and the addition of Coach Joe Moorhead, whose offense had set the Big Ten ablaze at Penn State, it’s been a turn that few if any could have predicted. Today at his weekly press conference, in addition to discussing this weekend’s match up with Arkansas, Moorhead dealt with the disappointment of missed expectations, and how this season is part of a bigger plan to build a program that can consistently win championships in the SEC.
Mississippi State will try to finish its season on a high note, as the Bulldogs should be big favorites in their final two games. The opening line for Saturday’s game with the Razorbacks has MSU as a 19.5 point favorite. We’ll talk about this and much today on SportsTalk Mississippi.
