A water main break outside two residence halls at Mississippi State has caused the university to close those buildings while immediate repairs are underway.
Deavenport Hall and Dogwood Hall have no damage inside, but the water has been turned off until the outside repair is complete.
“We are encouraging students who live in these two halls not to return to campus until they receive notification from the university,” MSU Chief Communications Officer Sid Salter said. “They will be notified by email and may follow social media for updates.”
Salter said student residents of Deavenport and Dogwood who have already returned are being housed at alternate locations.
