The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting 894 new cases of COVID-19.
Today’s report brings Mississippi’s total up to 75,449. With the confirmation of *27 additional deaths, 2,190 Mississippians have passed away from the virus.
MSDH Note: 2 confirmed COVID-19 related deaths occurred between July 24 and August 9, identified from death certificate reports.
The latest hospital data posted to the MSDH website (from Wednesday’s report) shows that overall hospitalizations have dropped below 900.
