The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting 853 new cases of coronavirus.
Today’s new numbers bring the state’s total number of cases up to 89,175. There was also a confirmation of 15 new deaths, and 2,670 Mississians have passed away due to COVID-19.
For some positive news, the presumed number of Mississippians that have recovered from the virus is now at 74,098.
