The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) is reporting a five-day total of 7,058 new cases of COVID-19.
The latest report, which covers December 22-26, brings the state’s total number of cases up to 532,560. With the confirmation of five additional deaths, 10,398 Mississippians have passed away from the virus.
Just days after Christmas, lines exploded at testing sites across the state and many were turned down as clinics reached their maximum capacity of COVID-19 tests.
