Following a slight delay, the Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting just under 500 new cases of COVID-19.
Today’s report of 497 new cases brings the state’s total up to 92,432. With the confirmation of 12 additional deaths, 2,792 Mississippians have now passed away from the virus.
The latest hospital data from the MSDH (Thursday) shows that overall hospitalizations are close to dropping below 500.
As of Monday, the MSDH is able to estimate that 78,971 Mississippians have recovered from COVID-19.
