The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting 2,222 new cases of COVID-19.
Saturday’s report, which also includes 19 additional deaths, brings the state’s total number of cases up to 194,333. So far, 4,409 Mississippians have passed away from the virus.
As the outbreak continues to worsen and we head into Christmas, State Health Officer Dr. Thomas Dobbs is requesting that everyone “keep it small (and outdoors) this holiday season” as the current executive order, recently issued by Governor Tate Reeves, limits indoor crowds to ten or less people.
As predicted – our mortality curve is rising rapidly
This is real, this is deadly
Please: keep it small (and outdoors) this holiday season
By Executive Order – all indoor social gatherings must be 10 or less https://t.co/L9gLgACby8 pic.twitter.com/3ZXLKdWHGK
