For the 7th straight day, the Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting over 1,000 new cases of COVID-19.
Today’s report of 1,141 new cases brings the state’s total up to 154,411. With the confirmation of *29 additional deaths, 3,836 Mississippians have now passed away from the virus.
*MSDH Note: 4 COVID-19 related deaths occurred between November 19 and November 22, identified from death certificate reports.
Hospital data has not yet been updated in today’s report, but as of Monday, the state had surpassed its summer peak with 1,008 Mississippians hospitalized due to COVID-19.
An estimated 128,746 Mississippians have recovered from the virus.
