The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting 1,000 new COVID-19 cases.
Today’s report — the highest one-day rise this week — brings the state’s total up to 117,617. With the confirmation of 19 additional deaths, 3,302 Mississippians have now passed away from the virus.
*MSDH Note: 6 COVID-19 related deaths occurred between August 19 and October 20, identified from death certificate reports.
Overall hospitalizations continue to remain steady this week.
As of Monday, an estimated 101, 385 Mississippians have recovered from COVID-19.
