Country music star Morgan Wallen has announced plans to perform in Oxford after canceling the second leg of his two-night stint six minutes before showtime in April.
Fans in attendance for his performance at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium were notified that the show was canceled through the venue’s video screen, saying that Wallen had lost his voice and was unable to perform.
Wallen then announced rescheduled dates for everywhere except Oxford two days after canceling tour dates in Mississippi, Michigan, Illinois, and Nebraska due to a “doctor-ordered vocal rest.”
Following Wallen’s eleventh-hour cancellation in Oxford, he became the subject of multiple lawsuits seeking to recoup millions in expenses paid by fans to attend.
Less than two weeks later, the “Last Night” singer apologized to fans over social media before stating that he was working on a new date to return to north Mississippi.
Now, Wallen has released that he will be performing once again at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, with the official date set for April 20, 2024 — nearly one year after the April 23, 2023 show was postponed. Additional acts will include Bailey Zimmerman, Nate Smith, and Lauren Watkins.
Those who purchased tickets for Wallen’s performance earlier this year will be given access to an early pre-sale for the 10 additional dates being added to his One Night at a Time Tour.
Registration for early access is open from now until Sunday, October 1 at 11:59 p.m.
