GULFPORT, Miss. -Harrison County has made a deal with oil giant BP and will be receiving $2.45 million.
The settlement is in reponse to 2010 oil spill that spewed millions of gallon of crude into Gulf waters and caused economic hardship to surrounding states and cities.
The $2.45 million will go on top of the already $11 million Harrison County has received.
Recently, Biloxi and Gulfport announced settlements of $4.9 and $4.4 million.
