The Mississippi Department of Public Safety is looking into allegations of mistreatment.
Earlier today, Commissioner Marshall Fisher announced that he has ordered an “aggressive internal investigation” after allegations were made regarding the mistreatment of cadets by Mississippi Highway Patrol personnel.
In a statement, Fisher said these allegations must be taken seriously.
“These are very serious allegations that will not be tolerated in any form and any personnel found to have committed any act of misconduct will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law,” Fisher said.
The allegations involve the cadets in Class 62 of trooper school, who are set to graduate on March 6th.
