She was Miss Mississippi USA in 2018, Miss USA in 2020, and she’ll be competing in the Miss Universe Pageant this Sunday. Asya Branch will compete with women from 75 other countries. As part of her platform, she’s hoping to increase awareness of the needs of children with incarcerated parents. It’s an issue that’s personal to Branch, whose own father has spent time in prison.
