Mississippi weather outlook for Friday, Feb. 18th

The National Weather Service is predicting several frosty mornings ahead.

Northern Mississippi–

Much cooler this morning with wind chills around 15-20.  It’ll be sunny with highs in the upper 40’s Friday.  Expect widespread frost after midnight with lows in the upper 20’s.  Sunshine the rest of the weekend with highs in the upper 50’s and 60’s.  Widespread frost Saturday and Sunday morning.

Central Mississippi–

Friday:  Sunshine with highs in the mid to upper 50’s.  Widespread frost after midnight with lows in the lower 30’s.  Saturday:  Sunny but frosty in the morning with high’s in the lower 60’s.  Areas of frost after midnight with lows in the low to mid 30’s.  Sunday:  Sunshine with widespread frost in the morning, high’s in the upper 60’s.  Chance of showers and thunderstorms moving into the area Sunday night.

Southern Mississippi–

Sunny with highs in the mid to upper 50’s Friday.  Widespread frost after midnight with lows in the lower 30’s.  Sunshine Saturday and Sunday with highs in the 60’s both days.  Lows Saturday night will be in the upper 30’s.  Rain moving in Sunday night with lows in the 50’s.
