JACKSON, Miss. – Walmart workers in Mississippi will be taking home more pay by the end the month.
As part of the chain’s $1 billion worker investment, Walmart says it’s raising salaries for 10,380 employees at it’s Mississippi stores. The increase, which is at least $1.75 per hour above federal and state minimum wage, would bump the full-time average hourly wage in Mississippi to $13.11. The first checks with the higher pay will be handed out in two weeks.
