While no reason for Barney’s departure has been released by the school, Twitter users have expressed their displeasure with the move by MVSU.
Their recruiting class was unreal too. Multiple PG8 and above, multiple upper 8 to low 9 arms. Juco commits from top 5 programs. Talk about a huge swing and miss on @MVSUDevilSports.

Brutal. That guy had created some really good momentum too.

Strange. Thought this was an improved team from last year.

One season….and fired. At Valley
Who would want to coach there? It’s not a destination coaches put on their wishlist. But, after one season they start over. Unless there is more there, I don’t get it

MVSU will now turn towards finding its eighth head coach in the 67-year history of the program.
