JACKSON, Miss. — The Mississippi Dept. of Education has hired Utah based Caveon Test Security to investigate claims that teachers at a Clarksdale elementary school rigged student’s scores on a state test.
A report done by the Clarion Ledger newspaper said some of those same students from Heidelberg Elementary could barely read or write once they got to middle school, just months after passing the Mississippi Curriculum Test (MCT). The department is expected to release Caveon’s findings as soon as the investigation is complete.
