Forbes, a three-year starter for the Bulldogs, finished his career with an NCAA record 6 interceptions returned for touchdowns. He piled up 14 career picks, was a two-time All-SEC selection and a consensus All-American following his junior year. Forbes, a Grenada native, signed with Mississippi State in the Class of 2020, ranked as a four-star prospect and the #2 overall prospect in the state of Mississippi.

Forbes becomes the 16th first-round pick in Mississippi State history, and the fifth in the last five years, joining Jeffrey Simmons, Montez Sweat, Jonathan Abram, and Charles Cross as the Bulldogs taken since 2018. Forbes joins 27 other former Bulldogs currently listed on active NFL rosters or practice squads.
