Mississippi State outfielder Dakota Jordan has been named an All-American by Baseball America.

The publication placed Jordan on its third team, rounding out an outfield that also includes Lyle Miller-Green (Austin Peay) and Ryan Waldschmidt (Kentucky). Jordan’s selection by Baseball America is the Canton native and Jackson Academy product’s second All-American team to be listed on this offseason after being named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association’s second team earlier this month.

In his sophomore season with the Bulldogs, Jordan led the team in home runs (20), runs batted in (72), hits (85), and slugging percentage (.671). He is projected as a first-round pick going into next month’s MLB Draft, set for July 14-16.
