State will open conference play in Baton Rouge against the defending national champion LSU Tigers, then head home for the first game in Davis Wade Stadium of the Mike Leach Era against Arkansas. A trip to Kentucky will follow that, moving that game from mid-November, then back home against Texas A&M, a series that has seen MSU win three straight in Starkville. State will take the following weekend off, then head to Alabama for a Halloween matchup.
The season’s final month plus one looks like this for the Bulldogs. State will kick off November 7th against Vanderbilt, then stay at home the next week to host Auburn. A trip between the hedges awaits MSU on the 21st, with the Battle of the Bulldogs against Georgia. The Egg Bowl will remain on Thanksgiving week, but no word yet if it will be played on Thursday or Saturday. The regular season will conclude on December 5th with a home date against Missouri, the first time since 2001 the Ole Miss game is not the finale.
Mississippi State has made no decisions at this time regarding fan attendance or tailgating policy, those regulations should be announced in the coming weeks. Kickoff times have not been announced at this time either.
