Mississippi State will indeed host regional action in the 2019 NCAA Tournament. As expected, Starkville was named as one of the 16 host sites on Sunday, one of six SEC teams named as hosts for the bracket.

Mississippi State will find out tomorrow the teams that will head to Starkville for first round action, and what other regional they will be paired against. It is likely that both SEC teams that are out of the top eight seeds, Ole Miss and LSU, will likely be paired against the four other SEC teams, MSU, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, and Georgia. It is expected either Oxford or Baton Rouge will be on the opposite side of the bracket from the Bulldogs, setting the stage for a record setting Super Regional should the Bulldogs win this weekend and either the Tigers or Rebels advance.
We’ll have full coverage of the bracket on tomorrow’s SportsTalk Mississippi after we learn the bracket in full, starting at 3 PM.
