Mississippi State has emphasized picking up quality defensive backs in the 2022 class, and the Bulldogs have landed a good one for the second day in a row. Jourdan Thomas, a 6’2″ 190 pound safety out of Montgomery, AL’s Catholic Prep made his pledge to Mike Leach’s squad public on Monday.
Thank You God.

Thomas is rated as the #26 player in the state of Alabama and the #39 safety in the country by 247 Sports. He chose the Bulldogs over offers from Indiana, South Carolina, and Tennessee. He is now MSU’s fourth defensive back commitment, joining fellow safeties Kylon Griffin and Wesley Miller, and cornerback Jaterrious Elam. State’s class is now ranked 17th nationally in the 247 Composite rankings.
