Mississippi State’s Cole Smith has been named the winner of the 2023 Kent Hull Trophy, annually awarded to the state’s top collegiate offensive lineman.
Smith, a graduate student from Pontotoc, has played in 48 career games while making 38 starts as an interior offensive lineman.
This season alone, Smith fielded 691 snaps at the center position while anchoring an offensive line that rushed for over 1,700 yards and 12 touchdowns. He only allowed one sack on the year.
Smith is the sixth Bulldog to win the award since its inception in 2013, joining Gabe Jackson (2013), Justin Senior (2016), Martinas Rankin (2017), Elgton Jenkins (2018) and Charles Cross (2021).
