Mississippi State has hit the junior college ranks hard in this recruiting cycle, particularly along the defensive line. Friday afternoon saw a huge addition to that class, as 247Sports’ top rated national JUCO prospect in the 2020 rankings, four star defensive end Jordan Davis, flipped his commitment from Tennessee to MSU.

Davis had been committed to the Volunteers since November of last year, but had become a regular on the MSU campus this summer. He becomes the 22nd commitment in this class, the 8th JUCO player to give his pledge to Joe Moorhead, and the fourth JUCO defensive lineman. State’s class now ranks 17th nationally per 247Sports.
