Basketball recruiting, like everything else in the COVID-19 world, has been tough to do with the lack of official visits and summer showcases, so teams can be forgiven for not having many commitments at this point. Mississippi State officially got into the game on Friday, with ESPN 100 ranked forward Keshawn Murphy pledging to the Bulldogs.

Rated as the #88 player in the country by ESPN, Murphy picked MSU over offers from Alabama, Auburn, and Western Kentucky. A 6’10”, 222 pound power forward, Murphy averaged 21 points and 12 rebounds as a high school junior at Birmingham, AL’s Ramsey High School.
