KANSAS CITY, Kansas – You probably are not thinking about going to a water park anytime soon in the dead of winter, but this summer, the world’s tallest water slide is coming to the Schlitterbahn water park in Kansas City.
The slide is called Verrückt and stands at 17 stories tall. You’ll reach about 65 miles an hour going down it.
How does Mississippi compare? The biggest water slide in the state is not even half that tall. The Brave Freefall at Geyser falls stands six stories or 65 feet tall, but at least you won’t wear yourself out as much when you make the climb to the top.
Geyser Falls – 65 foot drop slide
Gulf Islands – 45 foot drop slide
Barnacle Bill’s – 25 foot drop slide
