Crews from Mississippi Power have made it to Alabama and are helping restore power in Mobile, Tuscaloosa, and Eutaw.
After storms and tornados knocked out power across parts of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama Tuesday night, a 160-person team of linemen, engineers, support personnel, and contractors departed east Wednesday morning and were already in the field working by the afternoon.
Mississippi Power also responded to restore power outages in its service territory, with the heaviest damage being reported in northeast Mississippi.
