Crews from Mississippi Power have made it to Georgia and are helping restore power within the Atlanta metro area.
After storms and gusty winds knocked out power across parts of Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia on Friday night, a 75-person storm team from Mississippi Power embarked east on Saturday afternoon and were already working in the field by Sunday morning.

Of course, Mississippi Power crews also responded to restore power outages in its service territory.
