A Mississippi man has been arrested for allegedly killing someone while driving in California.
According to a press release from the Smith County Sheriff’s Office, Jimmy Ray Whitehead was taken into custody on Thursday at his home in the White Oak community. Ray, 62, was wanted in Riverside County, Calif., on charges of vehicular manslaughter.
The U.S. Marshals assisted deputies in apprehending Whitehead. He will now be extradited to California to face prosecution.
No other details on the fatal incident have been provided at this time.
