A Mississippi man has been taken into custody for allegedly directing threats at the nation’s capital of Washington, D.C.

The Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Department reported that Bradley Neal, 38, was handcuffed on Thursday, Aug. 8. Following an investigation by the department’s criminal investigation division, Neal was charged with two counts of terroristic threats.

He is accused of contacting the Office of Inspector General and Department of Defense — both federal agencies — and threatening to go to their locations and “leave bodies lying around.”

Neal was arrested without incident and is being held by authorities in Pontotoc County without bond per an order from the local circuit court. Both local and federal investigators are assessing the threats allegedly levied at the federal government.
