A Mississippi man was arrested two states over for attempted murder.
George Bailey, 51, of Aberdeen, was taken into custody Tuesday around 3 a.m. in Pensacola, Fla. According to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, Bailey approached two people lying on the ground. An argument ensued with Bailey attempting to shoot them but missing.
Deputies quickly responded and took Bailey into custody. No one was injured during the incident. In addition to the attempted murder charge, Bailey was charged with aggravated assault, firing a weapon in public, and battery.
Deputies added that Bailey was intoxicated at the time of the crime.
