JACKSON, Miss. – A new study found that Mississippi is the 4th worst state for working dads.
Wallethub looked at all 50 states plus the District of Columbia in determining their rankings.
The statistic website examined 20 key metrics including work-life balance, financial well-being, health conditions and child-rearing environments. In eight different categories, Mississippi finished in the bottom ten.
Mississippi was ranked 51st in “male life expectancy at birth” and 50th in “mortality rate due to heart disease per 100,000 men.”
The silver lining for the magnolia state was the fact that it has the lowest child care costs in the country.
