As you get ready to hit the road for the upcoming 4th of July weekend, the Mississippi Highway Patrol has officially started its holiday enforcement period.
Beginning Friday, July 1 at 5 p.m., the enforcement period will run through Tuesday, July 5 at 12:00 a.m.
If you plan on drinking during your 4th of July celebration this weekend, make sure that you have a sober designated driver as part of your plan to make it home safely.
