Mississippi Delta Community College broke ground yesterday on a new electrical lineman training facility in Sunflower County.
Governor Bryant was on hand at the groundbreaking ceremony and said that the facility is the result of a collaboration among MDCC, South Delta Planning and Development District, Delta Regional Authority, Delta Workforce Development Area, local EPAs and Entergy Mississippi.
“The lineman training program has produced approximately 200 graduates since its inception in 2010, leading to stable, good-paying jobs,” said Governor Bryant.
