JACKSON, Miss– Mississippi Day of Giving is a day that all Mississippians can unite behind the nonprofits and charities across the state that lend a hand to those in need.
Governor Phil Bryant declared this day as a way to raise money for these organizations that may not have the manpower or time to dedicate to fundraising.
“Many of these, they may only have two or three or five people working there,” says David Mallery, with Volunteer Mississippi, “they don’t have fundraising departments. They are busy doing the work that needs to be done.”
