The Kiffin family continues to dominate headlines in Mississippi.
On Monday, Knox Kiffin, the teenage son of Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin, followed in his father’s footsteps and made waves on social media. The teen took to X to announce that he had received his first offer to play football at a collegiate program.
Ironically, the offer did not come from his dad or anybody in Oxford. It did, though, come from a team in the Magnolia State as first-year Mississippi College head coach Mike Kershaw has apparently liked what he’s seen on the field from the 5-foot-10, 170-pound quarterback who’s been showcasing his arm talent at camps across the country.

After serving as wide receivers coach at Rice for five seasons, Kershaw, a former Delta State quarterback, made the move to Clinton to take over a program that has been mostly inept for the past decade.
Kershaw is looking to reignite the flame of the historical Division II program. Offering Kiffin was clearly an effective way to boost engagement on social media, bringing national attention to a program that gets limited exposure.
And who knows? If he’s able to land the class of 2028 quarterback, maybe he could convince Lane to join his coaching staff as an offensive coordinator.
