Every church choir has it’s own personality, sound, and uniqueness. All making a joyful noise in the name of worship. But every once in awhile, a church choir comes along that catches the attention of others outside of the church walls and gets recognized for it.
And that is what has happened to a church out of McComb, MS – Centenary United Methodist Church’s Chancel Choir.
Christopher Hart and the Centenary United Methodist Church Chancel Choir have been invited to participate in a performance of Joseph Martin’s “Appalachian Winter” on the Distinguished Concerts International New York City (DCINY) Concert Series in New York City.
This performance in Isaac Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall will take place on Monday, November 27, 2017. These outstanding musicians will join with other choristers to form the Distinguished Concerts Singers International, a choir of distinction. Conductor and Composer Joseph Martin will lead the performance and will serve as the clinician for the residency.
