The Mississippi Aquarium’s annual fundraiser is back this Friday–October first–with a new name. “For the community, because we want to be good partners with our community, it’s a free event in Jones Park. They have about 20 food trucks coming out with music. And then, we at the Aquarium have a VIP event where we’ve got great food and beverage and then we’ve got out animals out,” CEO Kurt Allen told SuperTalk Mississippi this morning during an interview on The Gallo Show.
The Hancock Whitney Sea of Stars celebration will include a first-of-its-kind-on-the-Coast drone light and fireworks show. For ticket info and more details: https://www.msaquarium.org/sea-of-stars
Unfortunately the weren’t able to celebrate their first anniversary as they’d hoped due to Hurricane Ida. But Allen told us they’re extremely pleased to have had over 325-thousand visitors in the first year.
