During Good Things with Rebecca Turner, Mississippi Aquarium VP of sales and marketing Kendra Simpson explained how Mississippi is known for having numerous marine fossils across the state.
“When the Gulf of Mexico covered the entire state when the tidelines changed, they deposited a multitude of fossils,” Simpson said. “Internationally, we are one of the hotspots for paleontologists. What our plan is to make dinosaurs fun and to make learning fun and incorporate Mississippi’s fossil record.”
A full schedule will be announced as the summer festivities take off next week until October 2, so make sure to check the aquarium’s website for more information.
