UPDATE: Jackson and Flowood police said crews found the body of Jessica Hewitt Wednesday afternoon along the Pearl River. Hewitt’s body has been sent to the state crime lab for an autopsy. The cause of death is pending.

FLOWOOD, Miss. – The car belonging to a missing woman has been found in Flowood, but there is still no sign of Jessica Hewitt.
The 29-year-old was reported missing after she didn’t pick up her child from daycare Monday afternoon. Investigators found her 2013 Lincoln MKS a day later. A family friend said Jessica Hewitt recently left Bobbie Hewitt. The couple had been married for two months. Police confirm he was on the scene of where her car was found. He was detained and questioned, but released.
The car is now the center of the search for any clues to the disappearance.
