ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. – A Mississippi hunter who went missing in the woods of Louisiana was found alive Tuesday afternoon.
Rob Varnado, 42, of Picayune, had been in the Pearl River Wildlife Management Area of southeast Louisiana near Slidell late last week when he and his hunting partner became separated. After nearly two days with no contact, he was reported missing Saturday.
The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s department reported Tuesday that they were able to locate Varnado alive, but his condition was not released.
